2007 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard
07.29.2007
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Race Summary:
If Tony Stewart were told that he could only run one race per year, his choice would always be Indianapolis. The famed Brickyard might as well be Stewart's backyard, having grown up just a few minutes down the road in Columbus, Indiana. Leading laps was a rare commodity, as only six drivers spent time up front, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch, pole sitter Reed Sorenson, and 2003 Indianapolis winner Kevin Harvick. With ten laps to go, Harvick and Stewart engaged in one of the most dramatic door-to-door battles in recent memory. In the end, Stewart pulled away to take his second consecutive '07 win.
Drivers:
Dale Earnhardt Jr., Denny Hamlin, Elliott Sadler, Jeff Burton, Juan Montoya, Tony Stewart
