2007 Citizens Bank 400
06.17.2007
Michigan International Speedway
Race Summary:
After watching Chevy win 13 of 14 races, the teams of archrival Ford were anxious to get to Michigan, where the Blue Oval has long been the dominant force. For most of the day, it looked as though it would be business as usual for Chevy, thanks to impressive performances from teammates Martin Truex Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. as well as points leader Jeff Gordon. But in the end, it was Edwards who found his way to the front, ending a 51-race winless streak and (thankfully) allowing team member Tom Giacchi to shave the beard he had promised to keep growing until Edwards finally won a race.
Drivers:
Dale Earnhardt Jr., David Reutimann, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart
