2007 Crown Royal Jim Stewart 400
05.05.2007
Richmond International Raceway
Race Summary:
The fourth Car of Tomorrow race of 2007 meant one thing, yet another showdown between Chevrolets. This time, the biggest challenger for Hendrick Motorsports wasn't Tony Stewart or Denny Hamlin, but Daytona 500 winner Kevin Harvick. Harvick dominated the middle stages, leading 103 laps in four-man duel with Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, and the Penske Dodge of Kurt Busch. After a late crash involving Sterling Marlin, Ward Burton, Ricky Rudd, and Tony Stewart, we saw a 20-lap dash to the finish between teammates Johnson and Kyle Busch. In the end, Johnson took the checkers and the victory.
