2007 Lenox Industrial Tools 300

07.01.2007
New Hampshire International Speedway

Winner:

Denny Hamlin

Pole:

Dave Blaney

Race Summary:

Denny Hamlin was trying to keep his cool, but the job was getting harder each week. Near-misses all spring and summer had the sophomore driver wondering what could have been, especially with his early mastery of NASCAR's Car of Tomorrow. At the Magic Mile of Loudon, New Hampshire, his pit crew overcame any chance of bad luck. The weekend began with an historic first pole for Toyota, compliments of Dave Blaney, then came down to a Chevy showdown between Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin Truex Jr., Jeff Burton, and Jeff Gordon. A two-tire pit stop with 38 laps to go got Hamlin out front first, and he held off Gordon by a scant .069 seconds.
